Electrical installations need to be checked periodically to make sure that they are working correctly and efficiently. If a new installation needs to be checked, then our engineers will thoroughly check each installation before it is put into service to comply with the IEE Wiring Regulations and to make sure the installation meets the British Standard regulations. After testing any installation and repairing, we will then issue a test certificate outlining the details about the test and repair. Periodic testing will need to be scheduled for each installation to ensure that it still complies to british standards and that it can be used safely.

Fire Alarm SystemsFire Alarm Systems Testing

Tests on fire alarm systems need to be carried out regularly as smoke detectors can be come less sensitive over time and standby batteries in control panels can become weak. The tests are an essential part of the alarm system maintenance and are required for a local authority fire certificate. If a system isn't maintained properly or neglected then the sensitivity of the detectors deteriorates which can result in the alarm not activating. Our qualified engineers will come and inspect a property's fire system to make sure it is functioning properly and they will fix any electrical problems.

Emergency lighting is provided for when the main lighting fails for whatever reason. The emergency lighting should clearly indicate escape routes, illuminate the routes for safe movement towards the exits and to make sure that fire alarm points and equipment can be located easily. We will periodically inspect and test the emergency lighting system in a building to ensure that it is working properly. If our engineers encounter any faults with an emergency lighting system, they will always repair them so that they can function properly.
