Are you a landlord based in Bristol? If you’re looking for qualified electricians who carry out EICRs for landlords Bristol, Allied Electrical Services are the experts you’ve been looking for.
What is an EICR?
As a landlord or property agent, you’re probably already very familiar with an EICR or electrical installation condition report. The report is provided upon a thorough inspection of the electrical systems in a property. Electrical features such as the lighting, switches, plug sockets and fuse box or consumer unit are thoroughly checked and any faults are flagged and recorded. If the property has additional electrical features such as solar panels, underfloor heating or an EV charger, we need to check these too.
Once a property is classed as satisfactory, only then can a landlord legally resume a tenancy agreement.
Any faults we do identify are classified with a code to highlight the severity of the issue. We also provide suggestions for the faults identified so that you can remedy them quickly.
EICR for landlords in Bristol
Allied Electrical Services are locals to the area, if you have a rental property in Bristol, an EICR is only valid for 5 years and must be reviewed once this period is over.
As mentioned, any faults we do identify are assigned the following codes:
C1- Is only used when there is immediate danger. Our electricians would have to carry out remedial work to immediately make the electrical feature safe.
C2- Classed as potentially dangerous, urgent action is also needed to remedy the faults as soon as possible but not immediately.
C3- Whilst we would suggest some recommendations, this does not mean the faults need to be fixed.
FI- If there is sufficient information lacking and one of the above codes cannot be assigned, an FI can be issued.
