For standard hour rates and PAT testing the minimum charge is one hour with subsequent hours charged per fifteen minutes.

Typically what type of work DOES come under ‘quoted works’?
Rewiring in full or part, installation of replacement or additional circuits, replacement consumer units or installation of a particular item.
Most works of half a day or more would usually come under quoted works.
We recommend that if you are planning to get a number of quotes for a given job then write down exactly what it is that you require in order that all contractors are quoting on a ‘like for like’ basis.
Typically what type of work DOESN’T come under fixed quote?
“My power/lights have stopped working, can you give me a free quote?”
Where investigation is required in order to ascertain what work is actually needed then this classed as fault-finding and is charged on our standard hourly rate.
As a rule of thumb our surveyor doesn’t carry tools. Therefore if something needs taking apart or investigation in order to quote then you’ll need an electrician, they are charged at our standard hourly rate.
Methods of payment are cash, cheque, debit or credit card and are taken on-site by our electrician on completion of the works.
DEICR & fire alarm tests- please be aware that that we do not discuss the finding of or release test certificates prior to accepting payment.
We do not add a surcharge for debit or credit card payments.
